JOIN US for a free self-guided tour of local art galleries, art studios, museums, and alternative art venues on the First Friday of every month from 5-8 pm.

OUR MISSION is to open the doors of Portland’s visual arts community by joining together and introducing a wide audience to the unique vitality of the artists and venues of Portland. Promoting interest with non-exclusivity and easy access, the arts and our community are strengthened through diversity and celebration.

First Friday Art Walk is a program of the Portland Arts & Cultural Alliance that has grown into one of Maine’s most popular monthly art walks. The First Friday Art Walk attracts over 10,000 visitors annually and contributes over $100,000 to the local economy (based on 2005 survey results).
