Portland Ranks in National Geographic!

Portland was ranked 41st in a recent issue of National Geographic Traveler’s Top 109 Historic Destinations in the World! High marks were given for Portland’s “aesthetic charm as a port city.” Among the six major criteria for the selection, National Geographic rated social and cultural integrity, aesthetic appeal, and outlook for the future. The artists, performers and institutions of Portland have yet again brought international recognition to our city!

Portland In Top Ten Again!

Portland scored #7 on the U.S. News top ten healthiest places to retire to, citing the mountain forests, rugged coast, and islands of Casco Bay as part of the allure. Artists have been flocking to Maine, and Portland, for the same inspiration for many years. Hooray for Portland!
